11 Ways To Support Your Circle

Drewbie Wilson • July 7, 2022

"Be the type of friend or family member that others can count on. Your support will make a difference in their lives!"

Do you support the people in your circle?

I am not talking about occasionally liking one of their pictures on Facebook or sending them a text message on their birthday. I am talking about being there for them when things are tough and celebrating their successes with them.

If you do not feel like you can do that, then maybe you need to take a look at the people you have in your life. There is nothing wrong with surrounding yourself with positive people who will make you feel good about yourself. On the other hand, if you find that you are always the one supporting everyone else and never receiving any support in return, then maybe it is time to re-evaluate your relationships.

You should not be spending your time and energy on people who do not appreciate you.

Take some time for yourself and focus on truly supportive relationships. Those are the people who deserve your time and attention. Because a relationship should be a two-way street.

If you feel like you are always the one giving and never receiving, then something is wrong. You should not be in a relationship where you feel used or taken advantage of. If you find yourself in that situation, it is time to walk away.

Remember, you deserve to be in a relationship where you feel supported. Do not settle for anything less.

And if you find yourself within the right circle of people, do not forget to support them as well. Here are some ways you can support your circle:

1. Listen to them

Listen to what they have to say. Do not just wait for your turn to talk. Listen and try to understand where they are coming from because that will make it easier for you to support them.

2. Be there for them

If they need you, be there for them. If they need a shoulder to cry on, be ready to offer yours. Do not make excuses or try to find ways to get out of it because it is inconvenient for you.

3. Encourage them

Let them know that you believe in them and that you are there for them because you want to see them succeed. And if they are going through a tough time, let them know that you are there for them and that things will get better.

4. Celebrate their successes

When they succeed, be happy for them. Be their biggest cheerleader and help them to celebrate their accomplishments because they are your accomplishments too.

5. Help them when they need it

If they need help, do not hesitate to offer your help. It is not always about what you can get from them, but what you can give to them. Whether it is something as small as getting coffee or as big as moving houses, be there for them and help them out.

6. Be honest with them

Tell them the truth, even if it is not what they want to hear. They need to know that you are not just saying things to make them feel better because you want them to like you. And if you do not agree with them, tell them that too. They need to know that you are not just agreeing with them for the sake of agreement.

7. Respect their opinion

Even if you do not agree with them, respect their opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you should not try to force them to see things your way because that is not fair to them.

8. Appreciate them

Let them know that you appreciate them and everything they do for you because it means a lot to you because it is not always easy to show your appreciation.

9. Be there for them

When things are tough, be there for them. They need to know that they can count on you, no matter what because they are important to you. Do not just disappear when things get tough because that is not what friends are for.

10. Let them know that you are there for them

Sometimes, people just need to know that someone is there for them. Just let them know that you care about them and want to be there for them. Because sometimes, that is all they need to feel better.

11. Do not take them for granted

Do not take your friends and family for granted because they are the people who will always be there for you, no matter what. So, appreciate them and do not take them for granted. Show them how much you care about them and how much you appreciate them.

And if you follow these tips, I am sure you will be able to support your circle in the best way possible.

These are just a few ways you can support the people in your circle. Show them that you care and that you want to help them reach their goals.

Be the type of friend or family member that others can count on. Your support will make a difference in their lives!

If you are not going above and beyond for your circle, you are not leveraging the best parts of life. A good social support system is key to a happy life. When you have people to rely on, you feel more connected and motivated. You also have someone to help you when things get tough.

So if you want to live a happy and fulfilling life, make sure you are supporting your circle!
